Transport Manager

ACS are looking to recruit a full-time Transport Manager based from our Bobbing office, just off the A249 near Sittingbourne, starting ASAP.
The Transport Manager will lead the transport team to ensure the efficient and cost-effective delivery and collection of biosolids in order to deliver business objectives.
Throughout this role you will have the opportunity to utilise your management skills to drive consistently excellent performance to deliver KPIs for Safety, Quality, Service and Cost whilst promoting an inclusive culture that is focused on employee engagement. You will continually motivate and support the team by encouraging professional development and providing consistent feedback.
A further aspect of this role is managing the transport scheduling, planning vehicle schedules in accordance with drivers hours to maximise utilisation of company resources to ensure an efficient flow of information so all internal and external requirements are met. You will have the responsibility to ensure the transport fleet is run within the Operator Licence Guidelines and that all relevant documentation relating to each day’s work is completed to ensure compliance with current road haulage legislation and company policy and procedures.
Essential Skills and Experience Required:
We are looking for someone with a working knowledge of Drivers Hours and Working Time Directive Legislation with strong experience of leading a team in a similar role, preferable with a Transport Manager CPC or equivalent.
You should have an interest and understanding of others, with the ability to establish good relationships with customers and staff, building wide and effective networks of contacts. With strong initiative you should be comfortable producing new ideas, approaches or insights and a range of solutions to problems.

- In this role you would be working in the South & South East hauling an array of materials to numerous farms.
- Must be available to do nights out
- We have a full time permanent position available.
- Full training and support given.

Due to expansion of work, an exciting new role is available as part of our hard-working and dedicated team. You will play a key role within the soil sampling department delivering a fast and efficient soil sampling service. Taking samples in accordance with standardised techniques using quad bikes and on foot with GPS equipment, and preparing samples for lab analysis.
You will need to be a good communicator, be organised and be able to engage with managers, team members and clients. Liaising directly with our clients on a daily basis and representing the company in a professional manner.
This role is open to either those seeking a temporary summer position AND applicants looking for a full time position.
Full training will be given.
